I run MakeAndUpdate as one person. This page explains what happens to information you share with me. Last updated July 2026.
What I collect
Two things. If you fill in the mockup form, I receive what you type: your name, business name, website, email, and any message. If I emailed you first, I already had your business's publicly listed contact details (name, category, and a public email or website found through Google or your own site).
What I do with it
I use it to reply to you and, if it's a fit, to prepare a mockup or proposal. That's it. I don't run ads on it, I don't build profiles, and I don't feed it to anyone else.
What I never do
- I never sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.
- I never add you to a list you didn't ask to join beyond the single outreach thread.
- I never keep emailing after you reply or unsubscribe.
Opting out
Every email I send has a one-click unsubscribe link, and it works instantly and permanently. You can also just reply "no thanks" or email nick@makeandupdate.org and I'll remove you and delete your details.
Where it lives
Form submissions arrive in my email inbox and a private backup log on the site's server that is not publicly accessible. Nothing is shared with advertising or analytics networks beyond basic, privacy-respecting site analytics (if enabled).
